Don’t Sit On It

Right in the middle of the show... Just at the good part... the channel switched. The guide came on. The whole thing just went haywire. What happened? “Oh I’m sorry. I was sitting on the remote.“

This certainly wasn’t the first time this happened & probably wouldn’t be the last, but the simple words of wisdom that filled the silence next spoke more to my heart than to the moment. ”Don’t sit on it.“

In that moment, my spirit heard God’s still small voice saying, “Daughter, that’s what I’ve been telling you.“

You see for weeks, maybe even months, my spirit has been aware of a gentle leading toward more. More sharing my faith, my skill, my knowledge, my passion. Less sitting on what I know. Less staying in & shutting down when I could be going out & pouring out blessings on others. I know that God doesn’t need me, but He loves me, He created me, & He wants to use me. He gave me interest in certain things, passion & skill that no one else can bring just like I do. Guess what! The same is true for you. God delights in the details of your life. He wants to be present for you in every area. He wants you to bring your best to every situation, like you were working for Him, not for men. God wants to use you & if you’ve been sitting on your talent, your health, your wisdom, your skill, He wants you to get up. Maybe He’s calling you. Maybe right now you are reading this because God has more for you. Get up and get moving. You don’t have to move the world today. Maybe just change the channel.
